Thank you for your interest and consideration of joining the Georgia Tech Staff Council. In the 2025 elections cycle, elected member nominations and committee member applications will be accepted beginning on March 19, 2025.
What is the difference between Staff Council membership and Staff Council Committee membership?
Staff Council Elected Membership Eligibility
- Must be an active Georgia Tech staff member
- Must be employed at Georgia Tech for at least one year – hire date no later than June 30, 2024
- Must commit to a three-year term beginning on July 1, 2025
- Must be self-nominated or nominated by a colleague
- Must discuss membership eligibility and service/time commitment with supervisor
Must work in a unit that reports to one of the Institute’s four executive groups (Academic Affairs, Administration & Finance, President, Research) with a vacant Staff Council representative seat
There are 8 vacant seats available in the 2025 elections process, including:
- Academic Affairs: 1 vacant seats
- Administration & Finance: 2 vacant seats
- President: 4 vacant seats
- Research: 1 vacant seats

Staff Council Committee Membership Eligibility
- Must be an active Georgia Tech staff member
- Must be employed at Georgia Tech for at least one year – hire date no later than June 30, 2024
- Must commit to a one-year term beginning on July 1, 2025
- Must submit an application, which will be reviewed and considered by each Committee Chair
